Terms of Sale, Delivery & Returns

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience; in case of any discrepancy the Greek version prevails. These general terms apply to sales of machines, spare parts and accessories by ΑΙΟΛΟΣ ΠΕΡΟΝΟΦΟΡΑ Ε.Ε. (trading as "AIOLOS LIFTS") to businesses and professionals (B2B), unless the written quotation or the contract provides otherwise. Special terms in the quotation shall prevail.

1. Scope

Our customers act for purposes relating to their business or professional activity. The provisions of Law 2251/1994 on consumer protection, such as the right of withdrawal from a distance contract, do not apply to these transactions. Where the customer is a consumer, the mandatory provisions of the law shall additionally apply.

Rentals, servicing and maintenance contracts are governed by the relevant hire agreement or the specific contract.

2. Quotation and conclusion of contract

The information and prices on the website are indicative. The contract is concluded upon the customer's written acceptance of our quotation (or our written order confirmation). The quotation is valid for the period stated therein, subject to availability.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in euros, exclusive of VAT, and, unless otherwise stated, do not include transport, unloading, installation or operator training. The method and timing of payment are set out in the quotation. In the event of late payment, default interest is payable in accordance with Law 4152/2013 on commercial transactions.

4. Retention of title

Title to the goods sold remains with the company until the price has been paid in full (Article 532 of the Greek Civil Code).

5. Delivery and passing of risk

Delivery times are indicative and depend on the manufacturer's availability. Risk passes to the customer upon delivery at our premises or to the carrier, or upon delivery at the customer's premises where transport is carried out by us.

6. Receipt and inspection

The customer must inspect the products upon receipt and notify us in writing of any apparent defects, shortages or transport damage within five (5) working days, also noting them on the delivery note. Latent defects must be notified immediately upon discovery.

7. Warranty

  • New machines: warranty in accordance with the terms and duration stated in the quotation or in the manufacturer's warranty document.
  • Used machines: sold in the condition in which they were presented, with any warranty expressly stated in the quotation.
  • Exclusions: normal wear and tear and consumables (tyres, wheels, filters, oils), damage resulting from misuse, overloading, inadequate maintenance or accident, as well as third-party interventions or spare parts without our approval.
  • The warranty covers, at our option, the repair or replacement of the defective part.

8. Returns

  • In B2B sales there is no right of withdrawal. Returns are accepted only with our prior written approval.
  • The product must be unused, in its original packaging and returned within fourteen (14) days of receipt, at the customer's expense.
  • Spare parts or machines ordered specifically for the customer, electrical/electronic components that have been fitted, and used machines cannot be returned.
  • For approved returns of non-defective goods, a reasonable inspection and restocking charge may be withheld, which will be notified before approval. Refunds are made using the same payment method or by credit note.
  • Products with a defect covered by the warranty are repaired or replaced in accordance with section 7.

9. Safe use

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the machines are operated by suitably trained operators, in accordance with the operating manual and the applicable legislation on health and safety at work.

10. Limitation of liability

Subject to Article 332 of the Greek Civil Code (wilful misconduct and gross negligence), our liability is limited to the value of the relevant contract and does not cover indirect loss, such as loss of profit or business interruption.

11. Force majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform that is due to events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, strikes, delays by manufacturers or carriers, and government measures.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

Greek law applies. The courts of Athens shall have jurisdiction over any dispute.
